Yesterday, winocm and i0n1c revealed that they had successfully jailbroken iOS 7.1.1.
Today, we’ve another hacker who has confirmed he has successfully jailbroken iOS 7.1.1.
Hacker Yeongjin Jang has posted a 4-minute long video to demo the iOS 7.1.1 jailbreak. The video shows how he can install an app remotely, and get the unsigned app to work on the jailbroken iPhone 5s running iOS 7.1.1. However, the jailbreak doesn’t seem to be an untethered jailbreak as he has mentioned that one has to run a recovery app after a reboot to run an unsigned app.
winocm and i0n1c have used different methods to jailbreak iOS 7.1.1, but it is not clear if the Jang has used one of these methods, or figured out another way to jailbreak iOS 7.1.1.
This is what I did on iPhone 5s, with iOS 7.1.1 https://t.co/cKy4oq9Bbe

i0n1c or winocm are unlikely to release the jailbreak to the public. i0n1c has often expressed his dislike towards the jailbreaking community because of the rampant piracy, while winocm plans to join Apple sometime soon. It is not clear if Jang plans to release his jailbreak. It also doesn’t seem like the jailbreak installs Cydia.
Three known private jailbreaks for 7.1.1. The "community" must be really pissed off ahahhahah this is beautiful to watch 🙂
