Apple has added three new channels to the Apple TV this afternoon, including the financial news channel CNBC and FOX NOW network.  Just last week, it was rumored that the Apple TV would receive FXNOW and Simpsons World content within 12 months.

CNBC is an American basic cable station that provides live coverage of the financial markets, and the Apple TV channel provides live stream access to that analysis and on-demand news clips and episodes from the “Prime” original series.

Meanwhile, the FOX NOW channel features on-demand access to several popular TV shows from the network, including “24: Live Another Day,” “A Spacetime Odyssey” and “Glee.” Apple TV users must first authenticate through a cable provider to access the full content.
