One of the most consistent rumors regarding Apple’s next iPhone, is the use of sapphire glass. In this new video, which reportedly showcases the new glass panel that the iPhone 6 will use, we get the first glimpse of just how flexible it will be.
In the video, which was posted by Sonny Dickson, we get a very clear look at just how flexible the rumored sapphire glass panel in the iPhone 6 will be. The video isn’t very long at all, measuring in at 30 seconds in total, and there isn’t a lot of information to go along with it, either. However, Dickson has leaked iPhone mockups in the past, which proved to be accurate when the real deal was finally revealed. While there’s not much to go on here as far as details go, the flexibility of the display in question could be pretty substantial if this pans out.
Apple has indeed put a big focus on sapphire glass in recent months. The company expanded its manufacturing duties with a new plant in the state of Arizona recently, adding more fuel to the sapphire glass fire. Indeed, if Apple can put sapphire glass in the 4.7- or 5.5-inch iPhone 6, then the device is certainly stacking up to be an impressive handset for launch later this year.
