Apple has just released an update for iTunes, which brings the version up to 11.3.1. With it, a major fix for issues with podcasts, as well as some extras for good measure.
Apple has officially begun rolling out an update to iTunes 11.3.1, the major focus of which is podcasts. The update is meant to address an issue that many have reported, including a fix for subscribed podcasts that may have stopped adding new episodes automatically. Additionally, the update fixes a problem that would cause iTunes to become unresponsive while navigating your podcasts in a list.

The software now also includes all new iTunes Extras for HD movies. With that, iTunes Extras can include behind-the-scenes short films, videos, director’s commentaries, high-resolution image galleries, scenes and more.
The update notes that these iTunes Extras will be automatically updated for movies that you’ve already purchased as they become available, at no additional charge.
The update is available now through the Software Update function. It measures in at 82.3MB.
