iOS 8 GM Wallpapers

In case you missed it because of the exciting announcements of the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, Apple Watch and Apple Pay mobile payments platform, Apple also seeded the iOS 8 beta Golden Master (GM) to developers for testing. The pre-release software came bundled with several new wallpapers, which we’ve shared for download after the break.

iOS 8 Golden Master features fifteen new stock wallpapers in total, many of which Apple is using to promote the iPhone 6 on its website. Thanks to the work of visual designer Jason Zigrino (via MacPreview) you can download the wallpapers now for 4-inch Retina display devices including the iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s and fifth-generation iPod touch.

iOS 8 will be publicly released for compatible iPhone, iPad and iPod touch models on September 17th, two days prior to the iPhone 6 launch in several countries. The new software version will be a free update for existing iOS device users, with new features like Continuity, Handoff, QuickType, Health, iCloud Drive and Notification Center widgets.

If you are on a Mac or PC, simply click on the wallpaper you want to enlarge it, right click on the image and save it to your computer. Then, import the wallpaper to your iPhone or iPod touch using iTunes. If you are on an iPhone or iPod touch, tap on the wallpaper you want, tap on the View Full Size button, tap and hold the image and tap Save Image.

The wallpapers will be stored on your iPhone or iPod touch’s Camera Roll, where you can enable it on the Lock screen, Home screen or both.
