iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus put through first drop tests

The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus officially went on sale not too long ago in some parts of the world, but that doesn’t mean it hasn’t been long enough to already see the devices put through some stress tests.

A YouTube user by the name PhoneBuff has already decided to put an iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus through a series of drop tests, for the sole purpose of discovering just how long they’ll last. As you can imagine, despite the new construction of each handset, the end is always the same: busted displays and scratches galore. If you plan on picking up an iPhone 6 instead of an iPhone 6 Plus, though, you may be happy to know the smaller variant lasted just a bit longer than the larger model.

The iPhone 6 Plus’s display shatters when it’s dropped on its side, while the iPhone 6 survives a bit longer until the inexorable test of dropping on its display. Both devices last a bit longer than some might expect, though, considering the tests, but one should always try to be careful anyway.
