Apple releases iOS 8.2 beta 4 to developers

Apple today seeded iOS 8.2 beta 4 registered developers of the iOS developer program.

iOS 8.2 adds support for WatchKit, the developer SDK for the Apple Watch. Developers can make Glances, Notifications and WatchKit apps with the new SDK.

Beta 4 comes a little more than three weeks after beta 3 was released.

iOS 8.2 beta 4 is compatible with iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air 2, iPad mini 3, iPad 2, iPad (third-generation), iPad (fourth-generation), iPad Air, iPad Air 2, iPad mini, iPad mini 2, iPad mini 3 and iPod touch (fifth-generation).

The beta release is available as an Over-the-air (OTA) update on devices running iOS 8.2 beta 3. Here are the direct download links (developer login required) in case you’re not on iOS 8.2 beta:

Alongside iOS 8.2, Apple is also testing a minor iOS 8.1.3 update, that will be released before iOS 8.2 is launched publicly.
