At CES 2015, AT&T unveiled a brand new smartcase for the iPad mini, which features 4G LTE-connectivity.
And now, almost two months later, AT&T has officially announced a launch date for the Modio smartcase, along with a price tag for good measure. As confirmed by the Big Blue carrier, the Modio will launch on Friday, March 20, and it will be available for $49.99 as long as the subscriber signs up for a two-year agreement.
“The AT&T Modio LTE case is the first protective folio that allows you to stay connected without having to search for Wi-Fi when you’re on the move. Enjoy the network with the nation’s strongest LTE signal, so you can access the web, email, and entertainment effortlessly.5 Simply close the case when you’re done and it is smart enough to put your iPad mini with Wi-Fi and network connection to sleep until you’re ready to pick it back up again.“
The case fits the iPad mini, the iPad mini 2 and iPad mini 3. AT&T says that there are Modio smartcases coming for larger iPads in the future, but no exact dates were provided.
