At the “Spring forward” event on Monday, March 9, Apple managed to garner some attention for its Apple TV set-top box, thanks to the help of HBO.

At the event, Tim Cook actually began the event with a spot for HBO, something out of left field for the event that was supposed to be all about the Watch. However, for anyone who loves HBO and their Apple TV, today marks a major announcement for both. Today, HBO’s CEO just announced HBO Now, the company’s stand-alone streaming service, and that Apple is the exclusive partner at launch.

It launches in April for $14.99 per month, with those who subscribe in April to get the first month free.
