On Wednesday, March 18, both China Telecom and China Unicom sent out press releases confirming that the carriers will launch the iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3, both with cellular connections.
The carriers will launch both tablets with cellular connections on March 27. This marks the first time these carriers have launched Apple’s latest generation iPads with cellular connections, so for subscribers it’s pretty good news. As far as support goes, both tablets will support TD-LTE and FDD-LTE network standards to run on the carriers.
The iPads will be available both through Apple’s Online Store and through the carrier retail locations on the aforementioned March 27.[via China Telecom; China Unicom]
