Apple earlier this month released iOS 8.2, bringing with it support for the Apple Watch and a handful of bug fixes and improvements. The question for today’s poll is, did you update your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch to iOS 8.2 or are you still holding onto an earlier version of iOS 8?
The most notable feature in iOS 8.2 is the addition of the non-removable Watch companion app. The app is the conduit between the iPhone and the Apple Watch and serves no purpose until the Watch arrives next month. Shortly after the release of iOS 8.2, complaints began rolling out about the inclusion of this app and the inability to remove it from a user’s device.
Apple also included several bug fixes to navigation, Music and Siri as well as improvements to the iOS Health app. For some iOS device owners, the version also introduced a glitch in Safari that prevented users from opening a URL via a third-party app. Affected users found that clearing Safari’s browsing history and website data resolved the problem.
So please take the poll below and let us know if you updated your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch to iOS 8.2, and feel free to leave a comment to tell us the reason.
