Hot on the heels of the Cydia 1.1.19 update, which allows tweaks and themes to modify the look and feel of Cydia, TaiG team has also released TaiG 2.3 jailbreak tool which integrates Cydia 1.1.19, and removes setreuid patch.
Here’s the change log of TaiG 2.3 jailbreak tool:
- Integrates Cydia 1.1.19, which is perfectly compatible of iOS 8.3-8.4; removes setreuid patch.
Earlier today, saurik had released Cydia 1.1.19 update, which allows it to run as “mobile” instead of “root”. This means that jailbreak tweaks and themes can modify Cydia, just the way they can modify iOS and other apps.
With Cydia 1.1.19 now out, TaiG has released version 2.3 of their iOS 8.1.2-8.4 untether, fully removing that awkward setreuid kernel patch!

We’re assuming that saurik made the change to allow the TaiG to remove the setreuid kernel patch that was included in TaiG 2.2.1 jailbreak.
You can download the latest version from our TaiG jailbreak download page.
If you had problems jailbreaking your iPhone or iPad with TaiG jailbreak, then you can try again using TaiG 2.3 jailbreak tool.
Users who have already jailbroken their device can install the update for the TaiG 8.1.3-8.X Untether package to manually upgrade to TaiG 2.3.0 to remove the setreuid kernel patch without re-jailbreaking their device.
