Earlier on Tuesday, August 18, Apple released the fifth public beta for OS X El Capitan, and then promptly pulled it. Now, the company’s back with an update for OS X Yosemite.

Today, Apple released a Digital Camera RAW Compatibility update for OS X Yosemite, that also includes support for additional cameras. This will bump up the RAW support to version 6.06 and it weighs in at 7.8MB. It should be available now through the Mac App Store and the Update section.

Here’s a list of the newly supported shooters:

  • Canon PowerShot G3 X
  • Leica Q (Typ 116)
  • Panasonic LUMIX DMC-GX8
  • Sony Alpha ILCE-7R II
  • Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX10 II
  • Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 IV

If you want to use the aforementioned cameras, then this update is necessary to add system-level RAW support.
