Back at the September media event, Apple showcased new strap options for the Apple Watch, including a new collection from luxury designer Hermés.
Now, several months later, that collection is now available to purchase from select Apple and Hermés retail sites around the world. As far as what’s different for the Watch itself, there’s a specialized casing option, which includes the Hermés branding on the back, but the main focus are the new straps.
There are three to choose from: The Single Tour, the Double Tour, and the Cuff. Unfortunately it’s not possible to simply purchase one of the Hermés straps separately. If you want one, you’ll need to buy it within the collection, and it starts off with a hefty price tag.
The Single Tour, which is the cheapest of the collection, starts at $1,100. The Double Tour starts at $1,250. And, finally, the Cuff will retail for $1,500. Each of the models will be available in-store only, so don’t expect to be buying these online from either retailer. The collection will be available in select retail sites in the United States, Europe, and Asia.
As far as color options go, the Single Tour comes in three colors, with two of them available both in 38mm and 42mm options. The Capucine Leather band, which has a red tint, is only available in the 38mm size. The Double Tour has four different colors, but those are only available in the 38mm size. The Cuff comes in only one size: 42mm, and only one color: Fauve Berenia Leather.
