Microsoft offers $300 for your old Mac when buy a Windows 10 PC

Microsoft Easy Trade Up promotion

If you’re thinking about upgrading your old Mac, but you can’t afford or don’t want another Apple computer, then Microsoft has the perfect deal for you. The software giant is currently offering up to $300 for old Macs when customers buy a new Windows 10 PC.

The new promotion, dubbed “Easy Trade Up,” is available to customers in the U.S., the U.K., Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, India, and Taiwan.

Microsoft is offering up to $300 for old iMacs and MacBooks and up to $200 for old PCs (up to six years old), but the actual amount you receive all depends on the model of your machine and its condition. Broken computers are not accepted.

To take advantage of the offer, you’ll need to first buy a qualifying Windows 10 computer, priced at $599 or more, between October 14 and October 20. You will then need to visit Microsoft’s Easy Trade Up page and provide details about your device — including pictures of its box and proof of purchase.

You will then need to send your old machine to Microsoft within 30 days. Providing the company is happy with it, you’ll receive your reward within 28 days of validation. Customers can only make one claim, but Microsoft will accept up to three from the same household.

There are 53 laptops and desktops that qualify for this promotion, but sadly, Microsoft’s own Surface Pro and Surface Book are not included. All of those that are ship with the company’s latest Windows 10 operating system, which has been well-received since making its debut back in July.
