If you’ve been itching to get your hands on the new Apple TV since it got its official unveiling last month, now is the time to place your pre-order. Prices start at $149 on the Apple Online Store, and Apple says shipping will begin at the end of this month.
Packing powerful new hardware, the new Apple TV offers a plethora of features we haven’t seen from previous models, including the all-new tvOS with its very own App Store, and Siri integration, which lets you find and control content using your voice.
The new Apple TV also comes with the new Siri Remote, which boasts a glass touchpad that makes it easier to navigate through your content and control apps, and integrated motion sensors that bring a whole new experience to games.
“There has been so much innovation in entertainment and programming through iOS apps, we want to bring that same excitement to the television,” said Apple SVP of Internet Software and Services Eddy Cue. “Apps make the TV experience even more compelling for viewers and we think apps represent the future of TV.”
Apple TV starts at $149 with 32GB of storage, but there’s also a 64GB model priced at $199. You can pre-order both devices now from the Apple Online Store. According to the Apple’s website, the new Apple TV will be delivered on Friday, October 30 if you order it now.
Apple is also selling Remote Loop for the Siri Remote for $12.99, and extra Siri Remote for $79.
Apple did not mention specific launch markets in its Apple TV press release, so we can only assume the device will be available in most countries at launch. If you’re unable to pre-order where you live, let us know down in the comments.
