Spotify adds 3D Touch support in latest update

Spotify 3D Touch update

Spotify, one of the most popular streaming music services out there, has just updated its app to support one of the iPhone’s new standout features.

On Monday, December 14, Spotify updated its iOS app to version 4.6.0. It’s not the biggest update to date by any means, but for owners of the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, and especially for those that love 3D Touch, the new software adds support for what’s probably become an oft-requested feature.

With 3D Touch support, users can press firmly on the application’s icon to bring up quick options. Right now, Spotify’s quick actions offer three quick selections for the most recently played Music/Playlists, and an option to Search as well.

Spotify’s user interface has been tweaked slightly as well, making the font in the side-bar (where you access My Music, Search, Running, Radio, and Browse) much bigger than it was in the previous version of the app.
