The first purported image of the allegedly 4-inch display that Apple will be using on the iPhone SE has been leaked by Nowhereelese. The leaked images show a barebones display assembly system for the 4-inch iPhone.
The images don’t reveal anything particularly new, but do confirm that the iPhone SE will not come with 3D Touch. This should not really be surprising since 3D Touch is one of the key new features on the iPhone 6s lineup and bringing it to a budget iPhone will make it lose its flagship status.
Additionally, the inclusion of 3D Touch would have also lead to an increase in the total BOM (Bills of Material), which could have possibly led Apple to price the 4-inch iPhone higher than its current rumored price tag of $400-500.
The 4-inch iPhone SE or iPhone 5SE is rumored to be powered by ab A9 chip, sport always-on Hey Siri functionality, a 12MP camera, and support Apple Pay. Apple will likely be launching the handset in 16GB and 64GB storage configurations. The handset is expected to be unveiled at an event that will be held sometime towards the middle of March,[Via Nowhereelse]
