New iPhone concept is incredibly cool but highly unlikely

iPhone 7 concept

iPhone concepts are often impractical but fanciful, and the latest is about as unlikely as they get. But it is incredibly cool, with a water-resistant design that’s just 3mm thick, an edge-to-edge display, and a secondary 5-inch screen on its back.

Remember when you were at school and you tried sketching the coolest car or robot you could possibly imagine, and it had literally everything? This concept is the iPhone equivalent of one of those sketches; it literally has everything you could possibly want — and more.

Highlights include a 5-inch bezeless screen that takes up the whole front side of the device, another 5-inch screen that takes up the back side of the device, wireless charging, and a new stereo audio system. It’s all held together by liquid metal.

You’ll notice that this iPhone has no ports or buttons. That’s because designer Herman Haidin doesn’t think they’ll be necessary in the future, what with wireless charging, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi connectivity.

This is definitely one of the coolest and most attractive iPhone concepts we’ve seen, but it’s highly unlikely it will become a reality any time soon. It’s 2mm slimmer than even the slimmest smartphones on the market, and yet packing more than any of them.

Would you like to see an iPhone that looks like this in the future?
