Brevis: A New Jailbreak Tweak That Lets You Customize 3D Touch Menu

All of us will agree on the fact that 3D Touch has been the focal point of attention by Cydia developers ever since the iOS 9 jailbreak was released. We’ve seen tweaks that add new menu items, bring 3D Touch support to older devices and much more. Brevis is the first ever jailbreak tweak that allows you to customize the 3D Touch menu.

With Brevis, you have the ability to make 3D Touch menu look the way you want. The tweak allows you to adjust the font and icon sizes of the menu items, hide the text of each item so that the icon is only displayed and much more.

To get started after installing the tweak, head to its preferences pane in Settings. There you’ll find all the configuration options to customize 3D Touch and bring a new look to it. These options include:

  • Showing the menu icons only
  • Disabling the blur effect of 3D Touch background
  • Adjusting the size of the icons
  • Changing the font size of the texts
  • Applying a smoother animation when opening and closing the menu

Once you’re done making the changes, go back to the main page of the preferences pane and tap on ‘Save to activate changes’.

If you always wanted to change the way the 3D Touch menu looked then Brevis is a tweak that you might want to try. In my opinion, there’s still space for more customization options such as changing the text color, removing a specific menu item for an app and much more. I don’t feel that tweak is worth the price it charges and would recommend that you wait until the developer adds more customization options.

Yet, if you’re eager to get your hands on this tweak and give it a try then you can grab it for $1.00 via Cydia’s BigBoss repo. Make sure to let us know what you think about it in the comments section.

Currently, you can only jailbreak iOS 9.1 or lower, check our article for the latest update on iOS 9.3.1 – iOS 9.3 jailbreak.
