The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are expected to be announced this year, and leading up to the big unveiling the rear casing has reportedly leaked out for the smaller variant.
The image was originally shared on the Chinese site IT Home, and appears to show an iPhone 7 in Rose Gold, with repositioned antenna lines. There are also a trio of spaces cut out in the casing near the top corner, which would seem to confirm only a single-camera setup on the back, the round flash, and a microphone. The iPhone 7 Plus is said to boast a dual-camera setup.
There are also no signs of a Smart Connector near the bottom of the iPhone 7 case, either, which seems to line up with plenty of previous reports and rumors. As it stands, it’s going back-and-forth whether or not the Smart Connector will be present on the iPhone 7 Plus.
The image doesn’t show off the bottom edge, either, so we don’t know if there’s a 3.5mm headphone jack in place.
While far from official, it does at least line up with previous rumors. Recently another report surfaced that suggested Apple will ditch the 16GB option for the upcoming iPhone 7/7 Plus, and instead start with a 32GB model.[via AppleInsider; IT Home]
