After leaking out the launch week of the iPhone 7 at the beginning of this week, @evleaks has now revealed that the handsets will go on pre-order from September 9th. Based on Apple’s past history, this likely means that the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will go on sale from September 16th in key markets of the world.
This also means that the unveiling event of the handsets will take place in the first week of September, probably on September 7th.
Confirmed: Pre-orders start on the 9th. You can extrapolate the launch event date from there. https://t.co/gwoPzIM1dI

The upcoming iPhones from Apple will sport largely the same design as their predecessors, with some minor tweaks and enhancements. This includes the antenna lines at the rear shell of the devices being repositioned to the top and bottom respectively for a clearer look. They will also be water and presumably dust resistant, and ditch the 3.5mm audio jack in favor of a stereo speaker setup at the bottom. The Lightning connector will be used to connect headphones and other devices to the handsets. Both handsets will also feature larger camera sensor for improved camera performance, with the larger iPhone 7 Plus coming with a dual lens camera setup for presumably even better performance.
While it is widely believed that Apple will be calling the upcoming iPhones as iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, a recent report claimed that the company might call them as the iPhone 6SE and iPhone 6SE Plus due to the relatively less visual changes they feature.
Excited about the upcoming iPhones from Apple? Or disappointed that they are going to feature almost the same design as their predecessors?
