Following in the wake of a long list of beta seeds for developers and public beta testers, the newest version of OS X El Capitan is now available.

OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 is now available in the Mac App Store as a standard software update. Users can find it within the Updates tab. The new software is not a major release, but instead focuses on behind-the-scenes tweaks and improvements. The standard bug fixes will be in order, along with performance enhancements as well. If any new features are discovered in the public release, we’ll update this post accordingly.

This is more than likely the last update for OS X El Capitan, as Apple has macOS Sierra waiting in the wings with a fall launch planned for the public. macOS Sierra will bring a plethora of new features to the desktop operating system, including Siri, and much more.
