Apple has seeded the first developer beta for tvOS 10.0.1, which gives a look at the upcoming software before it’s available to the public. It’s still early for the release, so what Apple may have changed or updated in the new software is still unknown. If anything is discovered, we’ll update this post accordingly.
To install it, Apple TV 4 owners, which are registered as a developer, will have to have the Apple TV plugged into a computer via the USB-C to USB-A cable. The software will need to be installed via iTunes, or through the Apple Configurator. Once that software is installed, subsequent beta seeds will be available as an OTA update.
The new software may primarily be focused on fixing behind-the-scenes tweaks and improvements.
