iPhone shipping estimates have traditionally slipped to a few weeks within minutes of pre-orders going live. This time around though, things seem to be different. Likely due to low demand thanks to the iPhone X and robust supply, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus shipping estimates have taken longer to slip than usual.
Right now, the Apple store is showing shipping estimates of 1-2 weeks for the Space Gray variant of the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. This is primarily for the T-Mobile variant, with variants for other carriers still having a shipping estimate of 1 week.
If you failed to pre-order the iPhone 8 today, you can try your luck at your nearest Apple retail store on September 22 when the device hits the retail store in the US. You will have to queue up ahead of the store opening time though so as to ensure you are able to get your hands on the device.
Alongside the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, pre-orders for the 4K Apple TV and Apple Watch Series 3 also went live. The latter seems to be in short supply with shipping estimates for certain variants slipping to 2-3 weeks.
Did you manage to get your iPhone 8 pre-order in? If yes, how was your experience? Did you encounter any issues? Did you also pre-order the Apple Watch Series 3? Drop a comment below and let us know!
