Apple Music Gets Dedicated ‘Music Videos’ Section on the App

Apple Music

Apple is currently preparing the iOS 11.3 update. Ahead of the big release, the company has outed the slightly revamped version of Apple Music app with a dedicated “Music Videos” section under the Browse tab.

Apple even curates video playlists based on your preferences. It must be noted that music videos have existed for a while on Apple Music, but this update makes it more visible for the users. The ability to create video playlists has also been a feature of Apple Music, although the update now brings Apple’s recommendations for the users.

The Music Videos section is tailored based on your listening preferences, and you will even see regional music videos appearing on your list of recommendations. Naturally, you also get access to some exclusive content from Apple Music which currently includes titles from Kylie Minogue and Beck. The Music Videos section will also have artist spotlights, highlighting some popular musicians, similar to the music section.

This feature is expected to make its way with the iOS 11.3 update, although I can find it on iOS 11.2.6 as well. Apple Music is a music streaming service costing $9.99 per month. New users can get the first three months for free.

The company has added features periodically to remain competitive in a market dominated by Spotify. Apple is bridging the gap, however, recently adding 2 million subscribers in just one month.
