Apple Releases iTunes 12.7.4 With New Music Videos Section

Earlier today, Apple officially released iOS 11.3 to the public. Along with many of other new features, Apple Music subscribers also picked up a brand new “Music Videos” section.

And now, to make sure that there is feature parity between the desktop experience and the mobile experience, Apple has just released an update to iTunes, which brings the version number up to 12.7.4. The update may include behind-the-scenes tweaks and improvements to the overall experience, but it looks like the lion’s share of the software is devoted to the inclusion of this new section.

Here’s Apple’s very brief changelog:

“iTunes now includes a new music video experience for Apple Music. Find what’s new and popular in Music Videos within Browse, and play videos back-to-back with exclusive music video playlists.”

The Music Videos section can be found by clicking on the “Browse” tab. Once you do that, users should see the new Music Videos section at the top. There will be new content added on a regular basis, and the new Music Videos section also includes content that is exclusive to Apple Music. There are also categories for genres, playlists, and new content in general.

Apple announced a bigger focus on music videos within Apple Music late last year.

iTunes 12.7.4 is available now. You can download and install the new software through the Updates tab in the Mac App Store.
