coolstar and the Electra team have released a new version of v1.0.2 of the Electra Jailbreak for iOS 11.3.1 – iOS 11.2 to address a regression issue with v1.0.1 which had reduced the success rate with the mptcp (Apple Developer Account) version.
The Electra had released two version of the Electra Jailbreak for iOS 11.3.1 – iOS 11.2. The version which uses multipath tcp exploit needed an Apple Developer account has a higher success rate, compared to the non-Developer version which uses vfs exploit.
According to the official changelog, Electra Jailbreak 1.0.2 fixes the following bugs:
- Use different bundle identifier for mptcp version
- Increment bundle id properly
- Hopefully, fix success rate regression with multipath 1.0.1
So with the updated version, you will be able to install both the mptcp version and the vfs version so you can try which version works for you. You previously had to delete the mptcp version if you wanted to install the vfs version and vice versa.
So if you were facing problems and have been unable to jailbreak your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch with Electra Jailbreak, especially the mptcp version then you can delete the Electra app from your device, and sideload the new version of the Electra IPA, and try to jailbreak your iOS device again. We would still recommend users to wait for the success rate to improve before trying the Electra iOS 11.3.1 Jailbreak.
