unc0ver 2.0.2 Jailbreak for iOS 11 – iOS 11.4 Beta 3 Released to Public

unc0ver 2.0

Pwn20wnd has released unc0ver v2.0.2 to the public. While v2.0.2. was previously available for download, it was in a ‘pre-release’ state. After making a bunch of improvements and fixing bugs since the first pre-release of unc0ver 2.0, Pwn20wnd decided to make the release public.

unc0ver is a semi-tethered jailbreak for iOS 11.0 – iOS 11.4 beta 3. A semi-tethered jailbreak needs to be run every time after one reboots their iPhone or iPad. If you are already using unc0ver, you can simply update your existing installation to enjoy the bug fixes and new features. The first version of unc0ver was released back in October this year.

unc0ver 2.0 comes with plenty of new features like Cydia Substrate support, an updated bootstrap, a dedicated button for restarting Springboard, a toggle to quickly re-install Cydia and OpenSSH, the ability to update jailbreak components OTA, faster system reloading, improved battery life, and more. It also comes with a new version of Cydia which is better optimized for iOS 11.

Compared to the pre-release version of unc0ver 2.0.2, the public release comes with an updated bundled resources, faster jailbreak speed, and other under the hood improvements.

If you have used Electra to jailbreak your iPhone or iPad, you can simply install unc0ver over it directly. The jailbreak has the necessary scripts to clean the system files, though all your tweaks will be deleted during the migration process.
