GoPro has launched two new products for the holiday season. The action camera maker has pulled the wraps from GoPro Hero8 Black and GoPro MAX. The GoPro Hero8 is priced at $399 while the GoPro MAX is priced at $499.
GoPro Hero8 Black Features
GoPro is positioning the Hero8 Black for vloggers and other types of creators. GoPro has bundled the mounting system alongside the Hero8 Black. The camera is capable of shooting videos at 4K resolution. Meanwhile, GoPro’s proprietary HyperSmooth 2.0 will ensure that the video footage is digitally stabilized. The TimeWarp feature also gets an update and offers better wind suppression. The GoPro Hero8 Black comes with a few changes in the construction. The camera is not removable, however, the company is expected to launch filters to fill the void.
The company has also launched add-ons called “Mods.” The enhancements can be attached to the camera and will offer superlative features. Media Mod is priced at $79.99 and offers a built-in shotgun mic. Furthermore, the Display Mod is priced at $49.99 and adds an LED for vlogging.
GoPro MAX Features
GoPro Max is a rugged 360-degree camera that also offers wide-angle footage. GoPro Max arrived with a different version of digital video stabilization called Max HyperSmooth. GoPro Max highlights include a front camera, touchscreen, dual lenses, and built-in mounting. Moreover, the GoPro Max also comes equipped with four digital lenses including the new ultra-wide Max SuperView lens.
GoPro’s new key-frame based editing will take care of your post-editing needs. You can quickly transform a 360-video into a traditional video with the help of a reframing feature. As far as availability is concerned, both Hero8 Black and Max are available starting today on GoPro’s website. HERO8 Black will start shipping from the 15th of October while the GoPro Max will begin shipping from the 24th of Oct.[via GoPro]
