AirPods Pro

Last month Apple finally released the much-rumored AirPods Pro. The latest true wireless earbuds from Apple offers noise cancellation feature and an improved ergonomics. Now Apple has announced a firmware update for AirPods Pro.

The firmware update for AirPods Pro is numbered 2B588. It is worth noting that the previous firmware was numbered 2B584. It is unclear what improvements this new firmware upgrade brings. In all likelihood, it has something to do with improving connectivity or perhaps patches an issue.

The new firmware for AirPods Pro will automatically be updated when you connect it to your iPad or iPhone. Since it is an over the air update, the rollout will be gradual and it might take some time to arrive on your AirPods Pro. However, you can try to expedite the process by heading over to Settings app> General> About> AirPods Pro and updating the firmware version.

The new lightweight design of the AirPods Pro makes them very comfortable to wear and they even feature a vent system to reduce discomfort and equalize pressure. Apple is also providing three different types of silicone ear tips for a better fit to an individual’s ear.

Apart from IPX4 water- and sweat-resistant design, the new AirPods Pro feature active noise cancellation. They achieve this using a combination of two microphones and software to cancel out background noise. Apple has also improved the sound quality with Adaptive EQ that tunes the low and mid-frequencies of the music according to one’s ear. A new high dynamic range amplifier also helps improve sound clarity while also improving battery life.
