Apple Discontinues the 15-Inch MacBook Pro Which Was Refreshed in May 2019

Following the launch of the 16-inch MacBook Pro, Apple has discontinued its 15-inch MacBook Pro. The company had refreshed the 15-inch MacBook Pro with faster Core i9 processors earlier this year.

While the 15-inch MacBook Pro refresh from earlier this year introduced major performance improvements, the 16-inch MacBook Pro takes things to another level. It offers everything that most users would ask for in a ‘pro’ machine.

Apple is offering the machine with up to 8TB storage and 64GB RAM. Additionally, thanks to the improved thermal performance, the new MacBook Pro can sustain heavy workloads for a longer period of time without thermal throttling. Apple has also equipped the machine with a 6-speaker setup and a bigger battery for longer battery life.

While Apple might have stopped selling the 15-inch MacBook Pro, it can still be purchased from other retailers like Amazon and Best Buy. The good thing is that we are going to see some massive discounts on these models during Black Friday and Cyber Monday this year. If you are on a tight budget, this is obviously good news for you. However, if you have the budget, you should definitely opt for the new 16-inch MacBook Pro due to the sheer number of improvements it brings to the table.
