With the iPhone 11 now launched, Apple and iPhone lovers are now looking forward to the release of 2020 iPhones. While it is unclear what Apple will be naming them, a new concept envisions next year’s iPhone 12 with a smaller notch, a quad-camera system at the rear, an A14 Bionic chip, a series of new colors, and more.
While Apple is expected to completely overhaul the design of the 2020 iPhones, the concept envisions the iPhone 12 as having a design language that’s similar to the iPhone 11 with a few tweaks and upgrades. The fourth new camera sensor at the rear of the iPhone 12 in the concept is likely a ToF sensor that will be used for AR purposes.
Apart from a smaller notch, it also envisions the iPhone 12 with smaller, almost non-existent bezels surrounding the display
The array of new colors envisioned in the concept is an interesting one. While Apple does offer iPhones in bold and striking colors, it is limited to the iPhone 11. The more premium iPhone 11 Pro series is available in only four colors and none of them are bold or striking in nature.
Given the success of the iPhone 11 series, it will be interesting to see what Apple brings to the table with the iPhone 12 next year. Rumors point to the 2020 iPhones coming with 5G, a new design, a ToF camera at the rear for AR, smaller notch, and more. All these changes point to a major redesign of the iPhone series which should help attract new customers.
What are your thoughts on the iPhone 12 as shown in the concept? Do you think Apple should offer more color options for its ‘Pro’ series of iPhones?
