If you own an iPad and feel like you are missing out on all the jailbreaking fun, here’s some news that will cheer you up. Electra team developer CoolStar has posted a screenshot that shows an updated version of Chimera jailbreak for iPadOS 13.
If previous tweets of the developer are anything to go by, the updated Chimera jailbreak tool for iPadOS 13 – iPadOS 13.3 will support A9-A11 iPad and iPad Pro variants instead of A12/A13 Bionic devices like Unc0ver. This means that the older 9.7-inch and 10.5-inch iPad Pro along with the first 1st generation 12.9-inch iPad Pro and 6th gen. iPad will be supported by the tool whenever it is released.

While Unc0ver supports jailbreaking A12/A13 Bionic devices running iOS 13 – iOS 13.3, it lacks support for iPadOS 13. The team behind the tool has not hinted at adding support for iPads anytime soon as well. Checkra1n also supports jailbreaking iOS 13 – iOS 13.3.1 devices, but its iPadOS support is limited to the iPad mini/2/3 and the iPad Air. It does not support the iPad Pro lineup or the iPad Air 2.
CoolStar did not provide any ETA as to when he will release an update to Chimera adding support for iPadOS 13. Most likely though, the tool will be out by the end of this month. After it is released, it is possible that CoolStar will further work on updating Chimera to jailbreak A12/A13 Bionic iPad Pro models running iPadOS 13.
