Apple has released the fifth beta for macOS Catalina 10.15.4 a week after releasing the fourth beta. As expected the fifth developer beta of macOS Catalina focusses on bug fixes and stability improvements. Furthermore, the company has also released the fifth developer beta for tvOS 13.4. Apple has also released fifth developer beta for iOS 13.4 Beta 5, iPadOS 13.4.
At this point in time, it is not clear as to what improvements the new developers beta brings to macOS Catalina. In all likelihood, it will improve performance, security update and also squash all the bugs found in the previous version. A word of caution, please steer away from installing developer beta builds on your work laptop or a device that is your daily driver.
The latest versions can now be downloaded and installed on registered beta testing Macs. If you are already running macOS Catalina developer beta on your Mac, you will grab the latest beta by going to System Preferences -> Software Update.
With the first beta build of macOS 10.15.4, Apple introduced time-synchronized lyrics inside the Music app, bringing the popular iOS (and iPadOS) feature to Macs for the first time. macOS 10.15.4 also adds Screen Time Communication Limits feature which was previously exclusive to the iPhone. With the beta version of tvOS 13.4, it became apparent that the Cupertino-based firm is working on an updated Apple TV 4K, probably with a faster, A12 Bionic processor. Furthermore, the macOS 10.15.4 beta had references to AMD processors. Perhaps Apple is prepping AMD-powered Mac.
