New MacBook Air with Scissor Keyboard Might Be Launched Next Week

A tipster has informed MacRumors that Apple is planning to announce new MacBook Air models as soon as next week. Previously, the tipster has been pretty reliable and had tipped about last year’s iPad Air and iPad mini models, both of which were announced in the month of March.

Earlier this week, famed Apple analyst Ming-Chi had said that Apple is planning to launch a new MacBook Air with scissor keyboards in the second quarter of 2020. Furthermore, Apple is also speculated to switch to scissor keyboards on all MacBooks by 2020. The latest rumor seems to fall in line with earlier ones. All said and done, there is still a fair chance that tipster might be wrong and Apple might not launch new MacBook Air in upcoming weeks.

Apple is also expected to launch ARM-powered MacBooks by Q4 this year or in early 2021. The company is also expected to launch 13-inch MacBook Pro with scissor keyboards. However, some reports are contradictory and claim that the new MacBook Pro will come equipped with a 14-inch display and not 13-inch ones.

Apple is expected to launch a slew of new devices this year. This also includes a much-awaited budget iPhone 9 and a tile-like tracker called AirTags. That apart, Apple is also rumored to launch a wireless charging mat and a high-end AirPods Pro for music aficionados. Thats not all, Apple is rumored to be working on an AirPods Pro Lite.

As of now, we don’t know much about the upcoming MacBook Air except that it will come with a scissor keyboard and a True Tone display. We only hope that Apple hits the sweet spot when it comes to pricing as MacBook Air forms the entry barrier when it comes to Mac.
