Apple is rumored to launch a Hi-Fi music streaming tier of Apple Music later this week on May 18. Ahead of that, the company seems to be hinting at the tier’s impending launch through its Music app.
Apple Music is one of the biggest music streaming services out there to not feature a free ad-supported tier. Apple instead offers users a lengthy 3-month trial period after which they need to shell out $9.99/month. If you thought that Apple could eventually launch a free tier of Apple Music like Spotify, well that’s not going to happen.
Typically Apple offers three months of trial for students and other subscribers as well. The company has now extended the offer to six months for students. Simply put, students will not be able to avail six months of a free Apple Music trial. The offer is available for higher education students in select countries.
A number of iPhone and iPad owners are experiencing an outage with Apple Music right now. Due to the service outage, users are currently unable to stream music from Apple Music. They are also unable to search for music or view their library and are instead being greeted with a “We’ve run into a problem” error.
Apple is now offering TikTok users four months of free Apple Music Trial. All one needs to do is subscribe to TikTok via App Store on iOS. Currently, Apple Music comes with three months of free trial, and you get another month for subscribing to TikTok.
