iOS 7’s drastic redesign has indeed been polarising, with most observers taking objection to some of iOS 7’s stock app icons. Jony Ive, Apple’s SVP for design, led iOS’ transition to a new design language, and reportedly told the designers in the company’s marketing and communications team to come up with a new look for iOS icons rather than the designers in the app design team.
