The WWDC keynote on Monday was great, except for the part where it just wouldn’t end. A ton of new stuff on the development front including Swift 2, iOS 9, CloudKit etc.

iOS 7’s drastic redesign has indeed been polarising, with most observers taking objection to some of iOS 7’s stock app icons. Jony Ive, Apple’s SVP for design, led iOS’ transition to a new design language, and reportedly told the designers in the company’s marketing and communications team to come up with a new look for iOS icons rather than the designers in the app design team.
Yesterday we told you about a few iOS 7 features that Apple didn’t talk about, and today we have more such features, tidbits and minor enhancements in beta 1 of the OS.
iOS is infamously popular for its lockscreen security bugs that let anyone bypass the passcode on a device to gain access to information that would otherwise be private. iOS 7 has a similar bug that lets anyone with physical access to your device skirt the passcode requirement to gain access to your photo library.
In iOS 6, Apple included metallic sliders that adjusted its reflection when you tilt your phone, and with iOS 7 the company has taken that concept one step further by making the whole home screen sensitive to movement. Now you can look at what’s “behind” your home screen icons when you tilt your iOS device, creating a really awesome 3D parallax effect.
