Verizon iPhone Pre-orders To Start At 3am EST On February 3rd

Verizon has apparently started providing details about Apple’s iPhone to its corporate customers ahead of the official launch on its network early next month.

The CDMA iPhone 4 will be available for pre-orders from February 3rd to qualified Verizon Wireless customers, ahead of general availability from February 10th.

Couple of weeks back Verizon announced that it will finally be offering Apple’s iPhone on its CDMA network from February 10. One of the things that Verizon has not yet revealed is the pricing of the data plans for its iPhone customers.

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Verizon’s Chief Operating Officer Lowell McAdam has just revealed that it will be offering the unlimited data plans on top of customers calling plans to iPhone customers.

iPhone Hacker and expert, Piergiorgio Zambrini (aka Zibri) who had developed ZiPhone, an extremely popular software method to jailbreak and unlock iPhone running iOS firmware 1.x  is making headlines again.

He claims that he has discovered references in the latest version of iTunes, which indicates that Apple plans to use wireless chipset manufacturer Qualcomm’s baseband for iPhone 5 and iPad 2.

Apple seems to be all set to release new universal iPhone 4 bumpers that would fit both, the GSM iPhone as well as the soon to be released CDMA iPhone.

Soon after the announcement of the CDMA iPhone, it was noticed that the latter had a slightly different location for the mute switch. This was due to the Verizon iPhone’s modified antenna design, which necessitated an extra break in the metal in the top left. This caused the mute switch to be marginally moved down closer towards the volume control buttons.

The functionality will let users set up their iPhone as a wireless router that will let up to five devices access internet simultaneously with the iPhone’s 3G network.
