Apple rumored to launch larger iPhone in May 2014, 12.9 inch iPad to follow in October

According to Taiwanese site DigiTimes Apple’s 2014 product lineup includes both, a larger iPhone as well as a larger iPad. The larger iPhone is reportedly scheduled for a May 2014 launch, while the larger iPad, measuring 12.9 inch, will be released in October.

There have been several rumors and speculations which indicate that Apple may launch an iPad with a larger 12.9-inch screen next year.

Taiwanese website, DigiTimes is reporting that Apple has given the order to Quanta Computer to make the larger iPad.

The Korea Times reports that according to their source at Apple’s display supplier, the company is producing 12.9-inch display for the next generation iPad.

The report claims that the larger iPad will have a display that has improved picture quality, which will be on par with “ultra high-definition” displays.

There have been rumors that Apple is working on a larger iPad.

Chinese website United Daily News (via MacRumors) reports that Apple is working with Quanta Computer on the rumored larger iPad.

Back in May, the Korean website ETNews said Apple was hard at work on a 12.9 inch version of the iPad called the “iPad maxi”.

While the site has a good track record for Samsung and LG related rumors, we were skeptical as it was the first time they published an Apple rumor.
