Rumors have been swirling regarding a newly-refreshed 4-inch iPhone from Apple, bringing the iPhone 5/5s to new life with upgraded internals and a slightly redesigned frame.
Leaked schematics that purportedly provide us with an early glimpse at Apple’s upcoming “iPhone 5se” suggest the device will look like a mini iPhone 6 or iPhone 6s. The device appears to have a rounded metal unibody design separated only by its antenna bands, and 2.5D curved glass.
To diversify its supply chain for the upcoming ‘iPhone 5se‘, Apple has reportedly gotten Wistron onboard to assemble the phone for it. The company is looking to reduce its risks and any disruption in its supply chain by relying on multiple ODMs for its products.
Rumor has it that Apple is gearing up to announce a 4-inch iPhone 5se and the iPad Air 3 in March, and the launch date could be in the same month.
Apple’s rumored “iPhone 5se” may come in Silver, Space Gray and a shade of pink that is different than the ROse Gold of the iPhone 6s.
