It has been a productive day for Apple, as the company released some big changes to the App Store. And now it’s even hinted at an OS X rebranding again.
Just a few weeks ago, the first hint that Apple could be considering changing things up as far as the naming scheme for OS X goes. And now Apple’s hinting at it yet again.
Some low-level files in OS X 10.11.4 indicate that Apple will be renaming OS X to macOS in a future release. An interface file — FUFlightViewController_macOS.nib, in the FlightUtilities framework to be precise — uses the macOS nomenclature, which hints at this possibility.
