Samsung, who isn’t afraid to copy Apple at all, will apparently continue to copy Apple as it looks to spur sales of its aging flagship.

Following on from my look at still capture results, in which the iPhone 7 pipped the competing Galaxy S7 to the post by virtue of more natural image processing, several commenters remarked that they’d like to see a video camera test too. Apple hyped up the new 12MP shooters on the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus while unveiling them at its ‘See You on the 7th’ media event. The new iPhones feature a brand new bigger 12MP camera sensor with 6-element lens, an f/1.8 aperture, and OIS. The larger iPhone 7 Plus also features a secondary telephoto lens for 2x optical zoom.
On paper, the Galaxy S7 (and S7 edge) have a better water-resistance rating than the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus from Apple. The iPhone 7 features an IP67 certification that makes it water-resistant for up to 30 mins in 1m of fresh water.
Later this week, Apple will be launching the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus in the United States, and 10+ other markets. One of Apple’s many strengths is its marketing, and that’s never been more obvious than with its “Shot on iPhone” ad campaign, which has been going strong for a while now.
Alphabet’s chairman, Eric Schmidt, is well known as a major presence within the Android army, but he’s not afraid to use the competition’s devices.
The iPhone SE might not be a flagship device, but that doesn’t mean it’s not worth picking up for fans of 4-inch smartphones. Especially if they’re at all interested in battery life.
