After nearly two years of drought, Xiaomi has again resurrected its Mi Mix series with the company’s first folding smartphone — the Mi Mix Fold. Unlike the last year’s Mi Mix Alpha, which was a little experimental and never made it to the market, the Mi Mix Fold is a mainstream folding smartphone with its design inspired by Samsung Galaxy Fold.
At an event in China today, Xiaomi announced a new wireless charging pad capable of charging three devices at once. More importantly, the wireless charger can charge the three devices simultaneously at speeds of 20W each, with a total output of 60W.
Wireless charging is pretty convenient right now. You smash a phone on top of a slab, and the phone starts to charge. But, it isn’t ‘true’ wireless charging and isn’t as intuitive as it can be. You still, have to keep the phone on the charging stand, and the phone’s barely usable when it’s charging. Xiaomi, today, introduced a new form of wireless charging called Mi Air Charge.
Xiaomi today announced the Mi 11, its latest flagship smartphone for 2021. Following in Apple’s footsteps, Xiaomi has also not bundled a charger with the Mi 11 citing “environmental” reasons. The company had already confirmed this before the announcement of the Mi 11 which led to the company being mocked by many since Xiaomi had earlier taken a jibe at Apple for removing the power adapter from the iPhone 12 box.

Xiaomi is gearing up to launch the world’s smartphone with a 108MP camera next month on November 5. Along with that though, the company will also launch its Apple Watch clone which will probably be called the Mi Watch. Photos of the smartwatch have leaked which shows a design that is very similar to the Apple Watch.

Xiaomi today announced the Mi Mix Alpha, a phone with a wraparound display and a staggering 108MP camera. The company has always pushed the boundaries of smartphone innovation with its Mi Mix series and the Alpha takes that to another level altogether.
Xiaomi has been borrowing quite a lot of stuff from Apple’s playbook. The Chinese company recently launched the CC9, a phone aimed at young users. Alongside the phone launch, the company also unveiled a new feature called Mimoji. What makes Mimoji interesting is that it seems to be heavily inspired by Apple’s Memoji.
At an event in India yesterday, Xiaomi unveiled the Redmi Note 7 series. Despite the Redmi Note 7 Pro costing one-fifth of the iPhone XS — $200 vs $999 — Xiaomi directly compared the two devices.
